Updates

Sever sent us two shots of Charlie Chaplin, including one from City Lights (1931) with Virginia Cherrill.

Michael has two interesting stills today:

• Lina Basquette and Eddie Quillan in The Godless Girl (1929)

• Alla Nazimova and Rudolph Valentino in Camille (1921)

John whisked over two spiffy photos:  Nina Foch and Ann Sothern.

Nick carries on with some interesting images:

• Clara Bow - 3 pictures, including Dangerous Curves (1929) with Richard Arlen, Her Wedding Night (1930) with Charles Ruggles, and Hoopla (1933) with Herbert Mundin

• Dolores Costello and George O'Brien in Noah's Ark (1929)

• Clark Gable and Mamo Clark in Mutiny on the Bounty (1935)

• Dolores Moran - 2 pictures of the stunning 1940's actress

Jane arrived at the party just in time to partner with Nick on:

• Buster Keaton - 3 pictures

• Harold Lloyd - 4 pictures, including two from Dr. Jack (1922), one from High and Dizzy (1920), and a posed shot

• Carole Lombard - 3 pictures, including two from Sinners in the Sun (1932) and a posed shot

• Myrna Loy - 3 pictures from The Barbarian (1933) with Ramon Novarro

Rikke returns to action with:

• Marilyn Monroe - 10 pictures

• Johnny Weissmuller - 16 pictures from Tarzan and His Mate (1934), including several with Maureen O'Sullivan—thanks to Doug for his help in identifying these

Some corrections:

• Sarah spotted an existing Loretta Young picture from The Bishop's Wife (1948), and two current Vera-Ellen photos from White Christmas (1954)

• Ricardo identified one of our Mae West scans as being from Night After Night (1932)

• Sever called our attention to one of our Norma Shearer pictures—it's from Riptide (1934)

Enjoy these film clips:

• Bob Hope and Bing Crosby are the high bidders for exotic Dorothy Lamour, in Road to Zanzibar (1941)

• Hedy Lamarr and George Sanders in The Strange Woman (1946)

• Sever also upgraded our two clips from Arsenic and Old Lace (1944), featuring Priscilla Lane and Cary Grant

• Mary Astor - 3 pictures, including one from Ladies Love Brutes (1930) with George Bancroft and Rowland Lee

• Marion Davies - 3 pictures, including two from Operator 13 (1934) with Gary Cooper and a posed shot

• Buster Keaton - 3 pictures

Richard has two more shots of Ketti Gallian, including one from Under the Pampas Moon (1935).

Sarah identified one of our current Veronica Lake photos as being from Star Spangled Rhythm (1943).

We prepared a nice group shot of Virginia Field, C. Aubrey Smith, Tyrone Power, Jr., and George Sanders in Lloyds of London (1936).  Enjoy the beautiful details in this tableau—things you wouldn't notice in the film.  We scanned from an original photo.

John sent us a beautiful picture of Ida Lupino and William Prince in Pillow to Post (1945).

Next, we have a photo of Dorothy Sebastian in Sackcloth and Scarlet (1925).  This gorgeous photo was scanned by Rita and cleaned to perfection by Dr. Macro!

Justin sent over a new shot of Robert Woolsey and Dorothy Lee.

Rikke continues our Tarzan series with an image of Patricia Morison in Tarzan and the Huntress (1947), and two of Johnny Weissmuller in Tarzan and the Amazons (1945).

Nick sent us some nice photos of Clara Bow, including Call Her Savage (1932) with Gilbert Roland, Red Hair (1928), and two pictures from True to the Navy (1930) with Fredric March.

• Ricardo identified a Marilyn Monroe picture from Bus Stop (1956), and one of Sophia Loren from Desire Under the Elms (1958)

• Doug corrected some existing pictures from Tarzan and the Huntress (1947), Tarzan and the Leopard Woman (1946), Tarzan and the Mermaids (1948), and Tarzan's Secret Treasure (1941), for one of which we created a new page for Linda Christian

Richard followed up with two international actresses:

• German actress Cornell Borchers in a portrait from Never Say Goodbye (1956)

• Norwegian-born Sigrid Gurie in a photo from The Forgotten Woman (1939)
